Are Your Daily Marketing Efforts Productive?
In this Blog post I want to talk about work ethics in general,
problems that can arise when
working from home, and specifically about a tool called
the ”Tomorrow List Task Manager”.
Working online from the comfort of your home is even better than having your own Chocolate Factory! However, there can be drawbacks if you don’t have a solid daily business plan with which to follow. A very dear friend of mine who also happens to be a successful Network Marketer, Kevin DeRoo, frequently talks about the importance of having a daily routine and sticking to it. He also has been known to say, “a home business must be worked as a real business.” Now, I certainly don’t want his head to swell, but most of the time I heed his advice…lol.
Knowing my own personality, along with all its short-comings, allow me to use myself as an apt example:
It’s very easy for me to become distracted and jump from one task to another without completing the first. This is especially detrimental to “how productive” my work-at-home day has been when my work day ends and I look back over the previous hours spent Networking and Marketing. I continually must remind myself to focus and concentrate on one task at a time. Those of us who are fortunate enough to work/run our business full-time from home must really be aware of our time management skills, or lack thereof.
Are we jumping from one thing to another? Are we allowing family members to distract us needlessly? Do we think about some chore that needs to be done around the house and leave our work space to do it? Do we take too many breaks? Long lunches?
These are just some of the questions I’ve often had to ask myself on a daily basis. There came a time when I realized I needed more self-discipline in order to focus directly on my marketing efforts. I came to realize this one evening while taking an inventory of the previous 7-8 hours as I prepared for bed. The first two questions particularly were troublesome for me, but for purposes of this post I will just concentrate on the first question. Yes, I was guilty of jumping from one thing to another for a very long time. I can still get caught up in that work behavior whenever I lose focus. It became such a problem for me that I decided something had to change or my business would suffer. Thankfully I am a member of one of the greatest, if not the greatest, Marketing Systems on the Planet. Why? Because as I was looking around in my back office I came across a tool that absolutely “had my name on it”. The tool is called “Tomorrow List Task Manager”…how absolutely appropriate for my jumping around issues.
The “Tomorrow List Task Manager” has become my daily business plan. I’ve always made and used “to do” lists, but now I have an automated tool that I use as a guide to structure my day. The following are my 5 current Task Headings, which by the way, can be added, edited, deleted, re-named, etc. Needless to say, a certain amount of flexibility must be built in to each work day in order to rearrange and change priorities as needed.

DailyToDo This task list consists of all the tasks I want to complete on a regular daily basis. It may consist of surfing TEs, checking NPN back office for leads/prospects, checking email, commenting on other marketers’ blogs, writing a new ad, creating a capture page, posting ads and any number of other tasks.
- Daily Schedule My daily schedule helps to keep me focused, and serves to structure my work day. I use it to allow a certain amount of time for certain tasks, i.e. surf TEs for 1 hour. It also leaves time for a couple of breaks and lunch. This is also where I prioritize my tasks in their order of importance.
- Future This list may consist of creating a new Blog or website with a completion date (subject to change…remember to be flexible). Or, it may have a name, date and time I’ve set aside to work with one of my new customers on setting up his or her Blog.
- Important This speaks for itself…tasks, dates, names, links, passwords…anything I do not want to forget.
- Mandatory Tasks The Mandatory list reminds me of things that I absolutely have to do on a daily basis, for example, I belong to a program where I must post one ad per day in order to benefit. It’s also mandatory that I make at least one Blog post per week at minimum.
So now I have a plan that I follow on a daily basis. It gives me purpose, structure, focus, concentration and most importantly, it lets me say to myself at the end of the day, “Yes, you had a very productive day Sharon!”
I just want to add here that before I shut down my computer for the evening, I re-visit my “Tomorrow List Task Manager” and revise it as needed for the next day. That way right after my coffee the next morning, I am ready to get back to work with more focus.

Global New Plan Network ( NPN ) Has Changed My Life…It Can Change Yours Too With Attraction Marketing Strategies
I’ve been working full-time in my new career as an Online Marketer for
almost 7 years now, and it’s only been in the last two years that I heard of a
Marketing technique called Attraction Marketing Strategies;
also known as Relationship Marketing.
In the beginning it was a struggle, and I made all, if not more mistakes that most new Online Marketers make.
In the beginning I fell for the hype, lies and empty promises of overnight wealth.
I wasted thousands of dollars and countless hours on programs that promised instant financial
success. If one program didn’t make me rich in 2-3 weeks, I would give up on that one and move on to my next purchase.
It’s worth mentioning that I was a real goldmine to many of the so-called Gurus and heavy hitters. They had
certainly never heard of the words Attraction Marketing !
After staying in this destructive “program hopping” mode for years, I finally started to make money;
not a lot, but enough to supplement what I had coming in already. I was still all about making
the sale with a just as hard sales pitch.
Then I found Global NPN, again!
I remember clearly seeing it launch 6 years ago and I even joined then, but again, I quit after a couple of weeks because it didn’t make me
independently wealthy overnight! Thinking like that is nothing more than believing in fairy tales.
Again, thankfully, I was re-introduced to NPN two years ago, and this time I took a serious look at what the
Program had to offer. I was instantly a “believer” in what NPN could do and provide its members.
So I joined up again. After being at the $10.75 per month basic level for just a few
days, I absolutely knew that I had to upgrade to NPN Director level. Global NPN
has totally turned my Online Marketing efforts around by 180 degrees. 2011 will
be a huge year for me and my downline, which is building quickly; not to
mention for the entire NPN Membership. I truly believe that the majority of NPN
Members use Attraction Marketing techniques; that’s why this Business
Opportunity has grown to such huge proportions and has sustained itself over
the past six plus years.
NPN is very easy to promote because it’s been around for so many years,
has more than 122,000 members, and most importantly, it has stability and staying power.
The owner and Founder of NPN, Geoff Stephen of Canada, has never missed a payrun; the compensation plan alone
is out of this world. The New Plan Network has so many products in the Marketing Suite that I really
didn’t know where to start. The training videos and manuals are all “must view”, however, the first thing I did was read
the FREE REPORT. This is actually where I had what I refer to as my “light bulb” moment.
I learned that I had been going about Internet Marketing in a totally different and completely wrong way
than I should have. The simple truth was that I was no where near practicing Attraction Marketing.

Now I say to my downline, and anyone else in this business who may still be struggling
that if you consistently utilize the Attraction Marketing Strategies bulleted below,
you will succeed as you build your Business into your own personal financial Empire:
• Market yourself first. Learn as much as you possibly can about Branding Oneself.
• Develop a presence on the Net and get your name and face out there.
• People don’t join Programs. They join you! Get to really know your downline Members. Ask
what their goals are; find out where they want to be financially in 3 months,
6, 9 and 1 year. Make sure they know that you are available to them whenever
they have a question or just plain need your help. Ask about their families…In
other words, begin to develop a relationship with them.
• Your Product, Service or Online Opportunity should always be secondary to the way you market it.
• Your tactics and strategies with all of your campaigns should be consistent. Always use Attraction Marketing!
• Market and Brand yourself first, and sincerely be willing to help and Mentor anyone who needs guidance.
Again, nothing more than the simple Attraction Marketing techniques.
Don’t try to be a Guru.
A lot of them just want to line their pockets with your money, and never
offer help or assistance after you have purchased their product. And most of them don’t have a clue about Attraction Marketing !
NPN teaches us to Mentor the people who join our ranks. That is my promise to me, and to you. If you join this

Attraction and Relationship Marketing Work Hand In Hand With Your List
Here we go again Folks, more about Relationship and Attraction Marketing (actually both terms are used interchangeably). I’ve been working in this Industry for 7 years now. For the first 4 years I never heard a word about Relationship Marketing. In those early days, the mantra I heard over and over was, “The Money Is In the List”. Well, I’m here to tell you that still holds true for any Online Network Marketer. However, it’s not JUST the LIST…it’s all about how you use your list!
Now, you will see several posts on my Blog about this very subject. That’s because I am such a huge proponent of practicing Relationship / Attraction Marketing…it works, and that’s the bottom line. During my early years in our chosen Business as Network Marketers, I kept hearing over and over about the money being in the list…did I pay any attention to it? I can answer with a resounding “No”. You see, no one had ever taken me by the hand and told me what to do with my List…I had one, and believe me, it wasn’t very organized. I had no clue what to do with it. I can’t be too hard on myself though, because I jumped into this Business blindly, and through trial and error over the years, learned what works and what doesn’t.
About 3 years ago I first heard about this new breed of Marketing. I talked with trusted friends about it, studied and read tons of material on just how it works, and after all my research, it finally made total sense to me. Now I knew what I had to do with my list! I had to use it to my advantage in order to develop relationships with my list members or downline, if you prefer. They could no longer be just faceless names and email addresses. I wanted to start to get to know these opportunity seekers on a more personal level. I wanted to help them attain the same success I was beginning to enjoy. I wanted to develop a relationship with them, and let them know that I am here, ready, willing and able to help. All at no cost. I didn’t and still don’t push any one of my list members to join my Business . If you do care to take a look at my Business, you can start at the basic level of $10.75 per month, and work your way up to Director level or beyond. In fact, it really doesn’t matter what your Business is…first and foremost you must Brand yourself…get your face and name out there. Then start using the new strategies of Attraction and Relationship Marketing. Once you’ve mastered this, your business will sell itself. Market you first and your Business second. Work on developing relationships with your downline, and over time (as long as you are not pushy and using the hard sell), people will come to trust you, and believe that you do know what you’re talking about. Always walk your talk. This is true even in your daily comings and goings.
Now, I want to let you in on a little secret. Approximately 3 years ago I spoke with a woman by the name of Ann Sieg. If you’ve been in this Business for any length of time, I would be very surprised if you have not heard of her. I consider her the female counterpart to Chris Farrell. Ann had been around the network marketing arena for quite some time when she realized that everything I’ve told you in this post is absolutely true. In fact, most of this post content contains much of the information I gained from Ann Sieg. She too realized that she had been going about building her online business using old school tactics, and she was getting no where. So, Ann set about to change her entire marketing strategy. She authored a book called, “The Renegade Network Marketer” . I sent away for the book and as soon as it came I devoured every word she had written. The more I read, the more I understood. It was like the Light Bulb Moment I had been searching for, and so desperately needed. After reading Ann’s book, I sent away for the entire “Renegade Marketing System”. Today she pulls in upwards of $20,000 per month, if not more. I know I could handle that very easily. How about you?
